Italian sues runaway bride for 500,000 euros

  ROME: An Italian groom left hanging at the altar after his runaway bride changed her mind at the last minute because she was in love with another man is now suing her for 500,000 euros (743,000 dollars).

The 32-year-old said he had suffered emotional and material damages after booking a villa for the wedding outside Rome, reserving a honeymoon on a Pacific island and refurbishing an apartment to his fiancee's tastes.

Wednesday's report by Italy's ANSA news agency said the man, referred to only by his first name, Riccardo, was already in the church when his fiancee's brother told him she would not be coming and the priest cancelled the service.

The report said that Riccardo had hired lawyers and filed a lawsuit, which emphasised that he and his family had borne all the costs for the wedding.(AFP)

BEIJING: A Chinese grandmother aged 65-year-old from Beijing has amazed everyone after her energetic, Michael Jackson-inspired dance routine on television show, 'China's Got Talent'. Bai Shuying has become China's latest sensation after displaying her dance moves in the first episode of the new season. When asked how she choreographed the routine, she replied that she had worked on it at home after she "bought a tape recorder," the Telegraph quoted her as saying. Bai Shuying said she felt Michael Jackson was "too beautiful, too moving, too inspiring" and that she loved "hip hop dancing".

US company plans to offer trips around moon

Washington: A US private space exploration company has recently announced its plan to offer trips around the moon to space tourists.

The tourists willing to pay the $150 million ticket price would launch into space aboard a three-seat Russian Soyuz spacecraft.

The Space Adventures expects to begin launching their trips around the moon within the next five years.

SRK to lock lips for the first time on-screen

Ra One happens to be SRK’s dream project and the suprtstar is leaving no stones unturned to add oomph and X-factor to the film. So, for the first time he makes an exception to his policies and will be seen locking lips with his female co-star of the film, Kareena Kapoor. It’s not clear if it would be a full-on smooch or just a perfunctory peck on Bebo’s cheek. Shahrukh has so far not locked lips with any actress. Well, the same caanot be said of Kareena though.
SRK has also made it sure that Kareena presents her sexiest best for the film. She will be seen skimpily dressed in a very sexy outfit in the song ‘Shake Your Booty’. Kareena Kapoor also has another song Chhamak Challo. The song has a desi touch with dance moves choreographed by the ace dancer Ganesh Hegde.
How much the efforts raise in the entertainment quotient of the film, only time can tell!!

Yana Gupta seemed to have disappeared from the silver screen post her superhit item number’ Babuji’. However, the girl is back now and with a bang. She made quite a stir with her dancing skills in ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ and will now be seen in two sizzling item numbers, ‘Laila O laila’ and the sensuous number that she has just shot for ‘Murder 2’.

Now, with the girl going places, she goes a step further and poses topless for the May 2011 issue of FHM magazine. The issue also has a candid interview with Yana where she admits that she is not so keen on doing item numbers and also talks about her so-called rumored romance with her choreographer Salman and other aspects of her personality. She has also written a book on nutrition which will be out soon.
